The Herons are back!
These are "our" herons in Kiwanis Ravine!

Many thanks to the students at Crest Learning Center, Mercer Island School District, for donating money for the webcam computer.
Note from Pam Cahn: It appears that the camera nest failed – I think sometime this morning (6/13/08). Most likely an eagle attack, as I can see entrails and feathers on the nest with my scope. One adult is standing nearby, so keep an eye out to see if they re-nest. It's late, but not unheard of to lay more eggs this late in the season.
View points.

Here is the HeronCam at Beacon Hill Park in Victoria, B.C.
We're in the process of installing cameras in the nesting trees of Kiwanis Ravine.Hopefully, you will be able to watch the herons right here! Check out the progress!
